Rome Ranking Series Day 2 : Can Indian women deliver in Rome, watch Divya, Sonam, Anshu Malik in action today LIVE on WrestlingTV.in


The Indian Women wrestling team will be in action today on the day 2 of the UWW Rome Ranking series. Though India’s biggest bet in the sport Vinesh Phogat is scheduled to start on Friday, the 4 other Indian girls will be in action today in Rome.

The Asian Games Bronze medallist Divya Kakran (68kg), 2 time Cadet World Champ Sonam Malik (62kg), Anshu Malik (57kg), Kiran Bishnoi (76kg) will be seen on mat today at the season’s first ranking series event in Rome.

Big test for Sonam & Anshu in the Rome Ranking Series
India has landed in Rome with two debutants in the senior squad, both Sonam & Anshu Malik will begin their senior careers with the Rome Ranking series. 

Sonam has made it to the Indian team after shocking Sakshi Malik in the WFI trials and will take on loaded field in the 62kg category that includes the likes of World medallists Tunbekova (KGZ), Ovcharova (Russia) and various others.

In the 57kg category – Anshu Malik’s task will be more difficult as she may have to encounter world champion Linda Morais (Can), world medallists  Odunayo (NGR) and Rong Ningning (China) in the weight. Divya Kakran will be in action in the 68kg category after winning the WFI trials and has 2019 world champion Tamyra Mensah (USA) in her weight.
