WrestlingTV Poll: Fans vote Vinesh, Deepak Punia ‘best wrestlers of 2019’

The WrestlingTV’S poll results for the best male and female wrestlers for 2019 are out. India’s first and only digital destination for the sport of wrestling WrestlingTV.in conducted poll to select the best wrestlers of 2019 in both male and female categories.
The poll was launched on 15th December and for the first time fans got a chance to select the best performing wrestlers for India in 2019.
More than 150,000 wrestling fans participated in the poll
The empowered wrestling fans of the country participated in the poll in full flow. Overall 162,392 fans voted for their favorite wrestler of 2019 over 10 days.
Best Female Wrestler of 2019
The results were extremely surprising. Indian wrestling’s heartthrob and the world championship bronze medallist Vinesh Phogat was expected to win the poll hands down. She won the Best Female wrestler award of 2019 but surprisingly after a extremely close fight with young Komal Panchal. 
2018 world championship medallist Pooja Dhanda polled 13.6% votes and Under 23 world medallist Pooja Gehlot 5.4% of total votes.
Best Male Wrestler of 2019
The WrestlingTV poll again came out with surprising results. The battle which had 4 world championships medallists as contenders in form of Bajrang Punia, Rahul Aware, Deepak Punia and Ravi Dhaiya lived up to its billing. 
It was a sea-saw battle for the title, the lead exchanged hand many a times between Aware, Bajrang and Deepak Punia. But in the end Deepak Punia pipped his illustrious team-mates to win the best Male Wrestler title of 2019 in WrestlingTV.in poll.
