Watch the five wrestling legends who have dominated the wrestling world this decade

Every decade produces the legends whose achievements stay unprecedented. The sport of wrestling also witnessed some of the biggest wrestling performances this decade i.e from  2010-2019.

Some of these performances were so outstanding that to repeat the same will be next to impossible for the next generation of the wrestlers.

Abdulrashid Sadulaev – The Most Dominating Freestyle Wrestler in the World – 2010 to 2019. Without any doubt, it has to either be Abdulrashid SADULAEV of Russia or Jordan Burroughs of USA. Let’s talk about Sadulaev first. Still 23, Sadulaev has 4 gold medals at the world championship already in his kitty.

Jordan Burroughs – The American legend has ruled the world this decade like no other male wrestler up till now in tough 74kg category. Like Sadulaev, the king Jordan also has won 4 world championship gold medals and 3 world bronze medals.

Mijain Lopez – The heavyweight Greco King. The world of Greco-Roman has seen many legends in the past. If Alexander Karelin was the legend of the decade before (2000 to 2009) his mantle was passed on to Mijain Lopez of Cuba this decade (2010 to 2019).

Saori YOSHIDA  – The most successful wrestler ever at the world championships. Can anyone beat the record of Saori Yoshida (Japan) of winning 13 Gold Medals at the world championships with 6 of those coming this decade.

Kaori Icho – The Olympic Queen like no one else. If Yoshida’s records looked unprecedented and daunting, just take a look at what Kaori Icho achieved this decade. The absolute greatest of all times Icho added two more Olympics gold medals to her kitty this decade by winning 2012 and 2016 Olympic Gold.
