India’s most successful Olympian in individual sports Sushil Kumar spoke exclusively to WrestlingTV on his preparations for the Asian Olympic Qualifiers. According to Sushil, he is working very hard with his team of coaches and will try his best to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics 2020. The veteran Indian wrestler is also planning to participate in the world ranking series event in Rome in January 2020 before the Asian Olympic Qualifiers. The Olympic qualifiers are scheduled in Xian, China and will be played over 3 days from 27th to 29th March. The excerpts of interview with the Indian wrestling legend Sushil Kumar are given below –

World Championship 2019 wasn’t great for you. Now, how are the preparations for the Olympic Qualifiers. आपकी तैयारियों कैसी चल रही है ?

तैयारी बढ़िया चल रही है। विश्व चैंपियनशिप में जो कमियां थी कोच कमल मलिकोव के साथ मिल कर उस पर हम काम कर रहे हैं ताकि आगामी टूर्नामेंट में खामियां देखने को ना मिले । आप सभी की दुआए चाहिए ताकि देश के लिए दोबारा कुछ अच्छा कर पाए . All my preparations are for the Tokyo Olympic qualifiers now.

कोच ने आपकी क्या कमिया देखीं है और कमियों पर क्या काम हुआ है ?
कोच ने हर चीज रेज की है क्या हम अच्छा कर सकते हैं हमें और क्या काम करना है, कोच ने टेक्निक, स्टैमिना और स्पीड पर काम किया है। मुझे लगता है कि अब हम चीजों को छू रहे हैं। I am confident, I will do well.
