Senior National Wrestling 2019: Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi included in Railways team


The Senior National Wrestling Championships is beginning this weekend in Jalandhar and the champion team from Railways have named star-studded team to compete in the nationals. Especially in the women section Railways team is loaded with international stars. Seema (50kg), Vinesh Phogat (55kg), Sakshi Malik (62kg), Navjot Kaur (65kg), Divya Kakran (68kg) are some of the prominent names that will be seen in action representing Railways at the National Championship.
Vinesh Phogat to play in 55kg
Vinesh who has qualified for Tokyo 2020 Olympics by winning bronze medal at the world wrestling championships in Nur-Sultan has decided to contest in 55kg instead of 53 in the national championship. Vinesh has decided to fight in highest weight category to give herself some tough competition.
