India’s biggest wrestling hope Bajrang Punia in Tokyo 2020 will and grappler Sangeeta Phogat will get engaged on 24th November in Sonepat. The youngest of the Phogat sister confirmed the engagement ceremony to WrestlingTV. According to Sangeeta, “Yes it is correct we are formalizing our relationship and on 24th November ‘Roka Ceremony’ is scheduled in Sonepat at Bajrang’s house” 

 
The wedding ceremony is likely to take place after the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Bajrang, the 65-kg category wrestler, and Sangeeta, who is a former national medalist in the 59-kg weight category, had communicated to their families earlier this month regarding their decision to marry.
Sangeeta’s father Mahavir Singh told the media that it was the wish of the children and “we respect their feelings”.
Bajrang and Sangeeta have been in contact for the past three years, Mahavir Singh has confirmed to media. “Ours and Bajrang’s family know each other now. I have always respected the feelings of my children.” he said.
